I've been watching Khedira's header assist to Higuain more than ten times, yet it awes me like the first one. He deliberately stopped in the perfect position, waiting for Lichtsteiner's pass and head it perfectly for Higuain to score. Beautiful beautiful goal. :green:

Does anyone rate him highly? Pundits or fans.

I would like to hear some arguments in suport of him becauae i feel like im missing something here that there has to be something im not seeing.

Now you've opened up a can of worms...

I've read arguments how he's best channeling players, and how he does the simple things right etc... and frankly I see none of this on match days

Don't mean to start anything here, but you have to admit this is pretty funny:

Sami Khedira - 4
I had to remind myself at half time that Khedira has won a World Cup, I genuinely forgot he was a key part of a football team at one point in his career. Okay, maybe that’s quite harsh on the German, but yet again he was the poorest player in a rather poor Juventus midfield performance. He added some stability late on when Juve were defending a lead, but I don’t think that’s something to really hang your hat on.

"Stephan Lichtsteiner - 5
The Swiss full-back didn’t have much of an impact on proceedings"

That should be enought to get the author fired immediately. FI ratings are probably written by a bot.

Rated highly?
Thats a tricky thing to say in his regard. Lets just stick to why he starts for us and was a key piece to the German national side.

If you watch the way he plays off Pjanic he creates space beautifully for him by either going forward or dropping off. Pjanic needs the ball at his feet under Allegris system and Khedira can facilitate that with his runs or holding of runs. He plays simply and is rarely in the wrong spot. When teaching pressure you generally have three things. Pressure-cover and balance. He usually gives the team a lot of tactical balance and plays as a coach on the field.

So is he highly rated? By pundits? no By a lot of fans? not really but a lot understand his importance coaches? absolutely
It is important to realize how good the teams he has started for have been and the players he has started over. If you want to understand Khedira at all you need to start asking yourself why he makes his runs the way he does. If you cant see the space opening and how Pjanic move in to create space and then the cbs flank him to get more numbers up then thats what youre missing
