I can't speak too much about him as a player before he played for Juve because I haven't seen enough of him playing back then but considering that before his injury he was a starter for Real and remained starter for Germany even after his injury I'd say we can safely say he was WC even then.
20 games is more than big enough sample size to see what the player has to offer and in case of Khedira he offers a lot in terms of stability and offers enough attacking impetus. I don't really see any weakness to his game which is probably the best compliment to give any midfielder.

Great way of twisting words. Im saying you can't have an impressive goalscoring record while being the DM in a 2 man midfield while having 4 offensive players infront of you. Scoring goals is not what you are supposed to do then
