He's a solid enough player, but he's no Vidal.

He's not, he's a different type of player and losing Vidal would hurt any midfield, but I think Khedira is a player you can trust doing his job even at our level. If we get a proper AM, he'd do fine playing that CM position a bit less active than Vidal.

Either way, I think it was a good deal and I don't see how we could properly replace Vidal in the current market.

I think Khedira will do great here. He will sit back and help Marchisio a great deal while Pogba will be the guy going forward from the midfield with even more freedom than before as before him and Vidal would alternate attacking. We are going to be very solid but wont have the box to box guy so our attack might suffer. We really need an attacking mid and Dybala to do alot creatively

Very true but do you think it would be sacrificing defensively playing him in CM over Khedira? I would think Asamoah too could do a job as a box to box guy maybe with less risk?

As of now Pereyra will be needed as the starting trequartista. It will be interesting to see who Allegri will use as our starters.
