But i would've imagined to see interest from quite a few clubs if we dint snatch him up early.

In an interview he said he had good talks with Di Matteo and Schalke's GM, but Di Matteo's sacking and general unrest at the club at the moment basically made him decide against it. Its because he's barely played in a year and they'd have better targets to pursue.

I am happy with his signing but seriously zizi,stop sounding like we beat heavy competition to secure his signature.

I think he can be a monster for us. A marchisio type of player that can put in key performances and really help the team grind out results. He also has the mentality of a warrior IMO and will fit in nicely
