Concerning the transfer: I'm not particularly fond of him, and would've been pissed if we payed anything more than 10 million for him, but for free it's a great move. It also strongly hints at Pirlo leaving, in that case he'd be a solid backup for Marchisio at the CDM position. Let's just hope that he stays injury-free.

Maybe there is some pre-conceived notion in England that if the player is available on a free transfer, then something must obviously be wrong.
