ReBeL, one question only. I gather you stand with Saddam just because he stood against the USA. If we take away this last war, what is your opinion on him?
Actually, he fought more than one war against them, Jeeks...

My opinion on him is that he had his mistakes, but he was the best Arab president during my life...

And you're right...I supported him the most when he fought Americans...

Actually, I have to support the devil if he fights USA....

So the other attacks conducted by Saddam are justified because someone else started them?

is fighting americans enough for you for a leader to be the best of all?? I am telling you one thing, there is no good arab leaders, but saddam is surly the worst leader in the history of arab world.
The only arabic leader I respect is Hariri (RIP), he is a true leader, who was first thinking of his people and not of his leadership seat, but unfortunatly it seems that such leaders allowed to stay in our world

Respect.

I regret I didn't support Hariri from day one he started with Lebanon. It took me a while to understand his vision.

irrelevant to you? sure. To the millions of moderate sunnis, it totally alienates them. Not because they love saddam, but for all the act symbolizes. I really hope the US will make the wise move of saving his life and showing some good faith to the sunni population.
Exactly.

ofcourse not, but we r talking abt what this man has done.
I remember my grand dad and my mother talking about Iraq(as my mother studied there) there wasn't much problems between Shiias and Sunnis. Everyone was living in peace with no discrimination until Saddam came in.

DONT generalise, douche. I care about Abu Ghraib, and I think it was horrible. And the soldiers that did that were either given a dishonorable, or they are in a military prison. LOOK, the guys that raped that 2 year old girl and burned her body after they shot her family?? Yea, 2 of the 3 are probably going to be put to death.....tell me when the last time a country put its OWN SOLDIERS to death for war crimes.

AND YES!! I AM AMERICAN.

WE ARE................

I didn't expect them to have a better ethical stance ever...

But I never predicted that they would send the same criminal to Iraq after afew months...

It was so clear & rude, Wasn't it??

BUT in our great arab world, in every country, and specialy in Iraq, at saddams time, torture was and is done all the time, but no body even know about that.. Jack mentioned some examples of few people, belive me these were only few examles of hundred thounsends..

Funnily enough that whole scandal was plastered all over our news for months, so I'm not quite sure as to what the hell you're talking about.

Yet your government seems to think torture is alright. Not to mention the fact you're losing your own civil rights. Obviously I condemn terrorist attacks, but I can see where the frustration is coming from.
