You may not like it but they actually are OUR last line of defence. If they fail, we are next sooner or later. And you will be enjoying trench war on the frontlines probably, since you are most likely a young guy.
Nah. The Ukraine is already too much to handle for Russia. They step over your border and they get wiped off the map, as they should.

yeah, i think by now nobody believes in this anymore , just my 2 cents
Not in Serbia for sure.

I was assuming russia wins, overthrows the Ukrainian govermnent, installs their own, rebuilds and comes knocking in a couple of years. If the current war never concludes and just turns into a quasi buffer-zone (which seems likely if Ukraine doesn't collapse) then Poland, Romania and Baltic States should be safe. I don't know how long Ukraine can survive without US help though.

This is really too much for me. Do you expect Russia to start a war with 30 countries?
No. I expect them to start a war/conflict with 1 or 2 knowing that the rest will do anything they can to avoid full scale NATO-russia war. If the political environment allows for it they won't hesitate. It can happen in 10 years, in 20 years or in 50 years. But with russians you can be sure, that it will happen one day.

I'm 42 so not that young no more, unfortunately.

With Ukraine it's surprising it took so long. But, yes, Russia will go to war over Poland.
Of course.

I tend to agree in a way with the last line of defense. Although my take is that the last line of defense is where we should be shooting on sight any Ukrainian that tries to cross over to Poland.

They don’t stand a chance and they know that. Ukraine or Georgia aren’t NATO

so every non-NATO country is up for grabs? That's fucked up too.

I want to express my grattitute to the heroic nation of Ukraine. I know that if they were easy for Russia to occupy, other post-Soviet countries were next, like my Azerbaijan. But now I think it's impossible, thanks to them there will be no USSR/Russian Empire revival, ever. In fact, I think this is the last ever war of coquest, at least by Russians - even if they manage to stop the war and keep the territories that they occupied, they will collapse sooner or later due to sanctions.

All of this really wasnt the question. Radekas said that we’re next, his location is in Poland. I said that I doubt that Russia will go to war with 30 countries.

For (I think) the first time, additional financial aid got blocked in both the EU and the USA.
Good. I don't think I ever hated any nation more than I hate Ukrainians.
If you're wondering why - visit Warsaw for like ten minutes.
Yes.

@Springyouth, have you ever thought of where those Ukrainians would go if there's not a country to go back to? I'll give you a hint, get comfortable with them.
But if you think they're bad, try a neighborhood full of Russians.

I'd heard Russia has one of the worst demographics in the world in terms of almost no young people. And that was before the invasion of ukraine

Now factor in the several million who fled, the many who are addicts/ drunks, and the six figures who were killed or seriously injured in ukraine and there won't be a Russian army of the next generation because they already don't have the young men to even reproduce a next generation but they're getting to attack NATO? Seems far fetched

If anything they probably have to attack Poland right now to have any chance :scared:

That's it: they should have nowhere to go: close the borders for all Ukrainians.
Let them rot.

It's not like magically Ukraine is separate from Russia. I'd say they are even worse.
