Well, what comes after that ? Did they follow up ?
Follow up on what? You want the media telling them to surrender? Telling NATO countries to stop backing them so they don’t get killed? They want to fight against the Russians. The only recourse right now without NATO sending troops in is sanction the shit out of Russia and supply Ukraine with as much military equipment and humanitarian relief as possible. What on earth are you blithering on about?

he's saying that they should surrender, accept a new pro-putin regime, and get back to their lives. hairdressers should hairdress, bakers should bake, nothing to see here in a few weeks. resistance is futile anyway, just accept that russki already won this war, and they want the best for ukrainians. go home west, don't send weapons, don't send food, don't intervene. russki got dis.

he probably forgot (or never experienced) how life was in the eastern block post ww2, and probably unaware how life changed in the last 30 years or so. nobody wants an other soviet invasion for the next few decades.

Yeah. He’s another of Putin’s useful idiots. Thinks he’s not a Putin apologist while spouting the exact same shit Putin apologists do.

The western media completely deluded the western people of the situation in Ukraine. The only out for the Ukrainians out of this if they agree on all Russian demands. That's the sad realty, everything other than that will result in a bloodbath.
Did you think like this back in 90s, when Serbian rebbels in Bosnia, strongly backed by Ex Yugoslav army and Serbia, attacked Sarajevo and other cities, that people should lay down their weapons and surrender? The city was 3 years under siege, surrounded from all sides, but we never gave up.

I'm a Bosnian Muslim who spend most of the war in various basement shelters, and continued to live in one after the war . Just examining the reality of situation, peace like that like you described and ascribed to me is better than war.

How can i be scared of NATO that never did nothing wrong to Russia when we have a big ass 1.5 billion of population country under our asses with absolutely unpredictable government who can do what and when they want, If anything i should be 1000000 more scared of China than NATO
China will be everyone's problem in near future if Putler allows us to live until then.

I empathize with your situation, and I can’t imagine being in your shoes, but you can’t let evil win without putting up a fight.

I obviously sympathize with the Ukrainian people, but this is a different situation where a nuclear power is invading another country and is not showing sings of backing out. I'll take the deal to prevent more bloodshed.

like we did in the 90s

with this attitude all of the world would be an endless playground for any aggressor. attack -> wait for surrender -> win -> attack an other country -> rinse and repeat. putin would get his beloved ussr back in a few weeks, then you can bet that the eastern block (former comecon countries) would be next. easy peasy.

Using nuclear weapons isnt an option here. Its to close to home.

If we had surrendered at the beginning, Bosnia as a country wouldnt have existed now. The fact that many brave men from Bosnian army sacrificed their lives is the reason you have a country, how ever fucked up it is atm. Unlike in Bosnia, Ukrainians are united to fight the opressor. I applaud them for it.
