We`ve seen people being detained just for protesting. We`ve even seen bank accounts being frozen by the government for people just saying out loud their opinion. We`ve seen people being brutally beaten, their vehicles seized and insurance suspended just for protesting peacefully.
And it`s not North Korea or the East.

And yeah, he still thinks that you can say whatever you want without any consequences

I don`t really need to say anything. That gif actually fully express my reaction after reading that nonsense

Where
this one? bruh, you want to compare this shit to peaceful protests? These people are fucking lunatics that don't allow the whole society to live normal life
Banks are moving to freeze accounts linked to convoy protests. Here's what you need to know
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/emergencies-act-banks-ottawa-protests-1.6353968

And if you will try to do this shit in Russia then cops will throw your ass in jail, nobody will let you block the roads here, you will become an extremist in a minute, while SOMEHOW canadian police don't even arrest this assholes

What started as a convoy of truckers protesting Covid-19 mandates has snowballed into a blockade in the Canadian capital and the obstruction of a US-Canadian border crossing.
The agency estimated the financial costs of policing around the demonstrations was more than $800,000 a day.

This is fine for you? They shouldn't be punished? 800k per day of taxpayers money

Those protests were the most peaceful protests in the history of protests. That`s why they had so much support in every way.

And people were brutally beaten by their government, thrown into jail, with their vehicles sized, insurance suspended, bank accounts frozen.

Democracy at it`s finest

Ok lets see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_convoy_protest
1) Several offshoot protests blockaded provincial capitals and border crossings with the United States.
2) Protesters occupied the downtown core of Ottawa and stated that they would not leave until all COVID-19 restrictions and mandates were repealed. Officials expressed concern about the economic impact of border blockades.
3) The convoy was condemned by trucking industry and labour groups. The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) stated that most protesters had no connection to trucking. At a blockade in Coutts, Alberta, multiple weapons were seized and four men charged with conspiracy to commit murder of RCMP officers. Officials raised concerns of some protesters' involvement with far-right extremist groups, including those promoting violence, and that some protesters called for the federal government of Canada to be overthrown. Some sources have called the protests an occupation or a siege.

Oh, yeah, it was definitely peaceful protest, far-right conspiracy theorists imbeciles have decided to block, occupy and shut down part Ottawa, borderline of US and Canada for a month and you expected that your government will allow them do it forever?

The Canadian Labour Congress called the protest in Ottawa "an occupation by an angry mob trying to disguise itself as a peaceful protest".
Active investigations are underway for a number of widely publicized incidents including those related to the Unknown Soldier's memorial and the Terry Fox statue as well as for more general incidents, including bribery, threats, assault, dangerous driving, and setting a fire in a building
On February 7, some two dozen arrests were made, and nearly 80 criminal investigations have been opened.

THE MOST PEACEFUL PROTESTS you say

YEAH it was absolutely peaceful protest, so far-right conspiracy theorists imbeciles have decided to block, occupy and shut down part Ottawa, borderline of US and Canada, and you expected that your government will allow them do it forever?

@Post Ironic :D

I mean if you really think the west is a totalitarian hellscape without freedom of speech or the right to assemble, you do you man.

I can dive deep into this field, and open up very sensitive topic if we go back into the history. And if you just barely know the history itself you know it`s not on your(or the west) side

Better to keep your mouth shut
