Arent you divided between rooting for Italy or South Africa?
it pains me to say but Italy are not a very good rugby side but they are improving all the time they did well in the tri nations i'll support them no matter what, South Africa on the other hand very good team, i think they are the only team that gives the all blacks a hard time so them winning is more realistic then Italy. But when they play against each other i always support Italy, even though i got into rugby because of the springboks

I was surprised to see no thread about it there. No Rugby fans on the forums?
i used to play a lot of rugby, but i often find watching it is a bit boring these days with so much kicking.

There's been some terrible games with teams getting threashed. However, there have been some great games in the world cup eg South Africa vs Tonga.

Allez les Bleus (and anybody playing england) :D

FORZA GEORGIAN LELOS!!!

THATS THE SPIRIT!

This is one of the loved sports here in Georgia, but still not much support as football, but I think deserves more. We've had similar game called LELO many many centuries ago about 10 or so.
For example we just have 300 sportsmen playing rugby, when Ireland has more than 2000 Refferees only in Rugby. Its a pitty but I thing it'll develope. Great Sport!

History beckons for Georgia and Namibia

LENS, 25 September – Georgia and Namibia go into their Pool D match on Wednesday with the chance to make history for their respective nations.

Neither has won a rugby world cup match in the past and the coaches of both sides have been targeting this fixture as their best chance.

Georgia coach Malkhaz Cheishvili is confident his side can snatch victory.

"We've put together a very experienced team," he said. "We're heading directly to victory and we'll certainly play a good game."

Namibia coach Hakkies Husselman said his side had less time to prepare for the match - their last game was on Saturday - than Georgia.

"Obviously a longer rest is better at this level because the intensity is (great) and concentration has to be there otherwise if you only concentrate for 40 minutes you easily get a 50 or 60 (points) against you in the second half.

"Our goal was to win one game and we targeted this game at the beginning of the tournament," said Husselman.

The sides have only met once before, Georgia winning 26-18 earlier this year.

Namibia welcome back several players from injury, while Georgia continue their policy of player rotation.

With the major battle expected to take place in the forwards, both coaches have shuffled their packs.

Namibia prop Marius Visser has retained his place alongside returning captain Kees Lensing, while Hugo Horn starts at hooker.

For Georgia, Goderdzi Shvelidze has been moved from hooker to prop for this match

i've been impressed with Georgia, they are solid and similar to Argentina in style of play in the way that they have strong forwards and are difficult to break down.

They were very unlucky against Ireland

Yeah! It was a great Game. Whole Stadium was cheering for Georgia.
It was a huge improvement (This type of play in rugby world is considered a win, although the score is opposite.) We've lost previous games with Ireland with huge difference 60-70 points.

Great game should be today!

sh*t man we were this close if only that pen went in :moan: if only...
I know.

Really poor game, both teams were too afraid of making mistakes to play well.

If the Italians were more disciplined and hadn't given us so many penalties we would have been fucked, because we didn't look capable of scoring a try.
