Matuidi and Mandzukic for Lukaku?

The only way for Juventus to keep their Romelu Lukaku hopes alive would be offering Manchester United Mario Mandzukic and another player, likely to be Blaise Matuidi.
Multiple sources from England and Italy this evening state Paulo Dybala has turned down the exchange and Manchester United gave up trying to convince him otherwise.
Inter are now back in the running for Lukaku, but there is still some slim hope for Juventus to secure the Belgium international.
Mandzukic has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League side, believed to be worth €6m per season with a transfer fee of €15m.
It's entirely possible the Croatian will move to Manchester United separately from Lukaku and Dybala, but he could also be used in a new swap deal.
As Lukaku is rated at €85m, the Bianconeri would need to include at least one more player and a cash sum.
Of the players in the Juventus squad who are on the market, the only one who fits the bill is Matuidi, as the France international is surplus to requirements following the arrival of Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot.
Joao Cancelo was targeted by Manchester United, but he is already on the verge of a move to Manchester City in exchange for Danilo plus €30m.
Douglas Costa was another player appreciated by the Premier League side, but the Brazilian wants to remain in Turin to work with new Coach Maurizio Sarri.

It’s possible we still go for him, but this article is typical Football Italia speculative garbage with no substance.
