on a serious note thou, what really happened to him after the 94 world cup. i heard that he fought with the brazilian fed and was not allowed to make it to the squad that played in france 1998, is that the reason?

Not really, IIRC, Romario didn't play in 98 because he got injured, and was hoping to be included in the squad so he could play in later stages. The scenes of him crying was aired everywhere, I bet most of us here remember that. As for 2002 he was deemed too old, and they had Ronaldo and Rivaldo already.

But that celebration was started by Bebeto who became father the night before the game.

As for Romario, I always rated the player high and I will always do, one of the best finishers ever.
Yea it was Bebeto's, but it was those 3 that did the celebration every time though.

it's imbecile of him to do all these just to score 1000 goals, moving from a club to another, what for? to tell his grandchildren that he scored 1000? :faq1:

let's say Fifa will not recognize all of them as "official" goals, will he play even if he becomes 50?

scoring 1000 goals? what kind of a goal is that to achieve? :faq1:

you wish to win world cup, domestic cup with your favorite team or to win The CL, but targeting to score 1000 goal is quite sad to be honest, and specially the way he is trying to do.
