So Arsenal are just going to keep and get rid of him for free next season? How does that make sense...
IMO it doesn't either. They're either holding it close to 18 August (or 31 August?) to see how high the bidders are really going to go; or, they truly intend to keep him another year and let him leave on a free at the age of 30. Some in the Arsenal camp feel that if he is forced to stay another year, he might reconsider staying and signing a new contract come June 2013. He'll also have less suitors at age 30, and will begin the process of earning less - not more - than what he could potentially earn now. I think Arsenal should sell, but they are giving the impression they are willing to draw a hard line this time around. We'll see.

Guys you need to calm down a bit. I'm sure RVP still hasn't made up his mind. Moratta is just calling Arsenal out on the asking price. You need to learn to read between the lines. However i still mantain that RVP will probably want to stay in the Premier League, But that's just my guess. His family are here and he loves English football. And whatever our personal opinions are there is no doubting that the Premier League title is percieved to be the most prestigious domestic league to win in World Football. I'm sure this is his main objective.

If he does move to City or United it certainly wouldn't be a "Snub" of Juventus. Juve are a beautifull old club. It would simpley be a desire to become victorious in the league he has failed at with Arsenal.

I see you are linked with Dzeko, infact i heard you have bid £15.5M for him which we rejected. At least these are the rumours but who knows what to believe? lol. Firstly i love Edin Dzeko. He is such a great guy, a fantastic player and a lethal finisher but he doesn't really fit into Citys style of free roaming play unfortunately. With decent wingers however he would be brilliant. As much as it pains me to say it a move to Juve would be the perfect fit. I think he would rip it up in Serie A and score a bucket load for you. I would be very sad to see him go but i think he is the one who will be leaving so we can bring in RVP.

I doubt we would let him move for cheap though.

I agree with BlakeTheBlue. What i think is Juventus are secretly following Dzeko and instead are trying to get Man City to buy RVp, Man City will sell Dzeko. I would take both players but i think i would prefer RVP only because he scored alot. But then again Dzeko is the younger player so its a hard decision but i would welcome both.

Define 'cheap'.

I agree about how good a player Dzeko is and how well he'd fit at Juve.
Well without meaning to sound disrespectful Italian clubs are notoriously hard to deal with in the transfer market. Juve aren't anyway near as bad as either the Milan clubs (especialy AC who are pi*ss takers) But still you tend to want to get a teams world class players for a packet a sweets and a cheeky smile, lol. Consider we paid upwards of £27M for Edin under 2 years ago. He has scored some very important goals for us and there is no denying he is a wonderfull player. He is loved by the fans and he genuinely loves it at City. He is only 25, has a long term contract and we are in no real desperation to sell.

With all this in mind. I ask you guys the question. If you were MCFC, how much would you accept for him?

if no new striker arrived, i wouldnt sell my most clinical striker for less then 40 mil, wich is double of what juve can afford

but apparently, people think that you can use magic and buy him at 20 mil

If I was them, I'd probably want pretty close to what Van Persie would cost.

I think that'll be something around £22m.

However, Man City may well need to accept a bit less than that in order to move Dzeko on to make space for the arrival of Van Persie, as I don't see all that many teams who would bid for Dzeko right now.

Yeah. I agree with pretty much all that. I reckon about £20M
