The idiot here is Wenger! Who would play for a club that last time won something in 2006? Wenger is the problem here, he keeps buying Sh!t players and expects that the big names stay (Henry, Fabregas, Nasri, RvP).. The club needs to move on and kick Wenger out..

LOL we where in Serie B and are back and won a title while Arsenal are doing shit.
should have been fired ages ago.

Lol, I knew someone would write that. I'm not comparing them, I'm just stating that the fact that van Persie is a top player for Arsenal and our top players a few years ago were Buffon and Del Piero (ofc Gigi still is). Out situation a few years ago wasn't that different from Arsenal's situation now. And maybe Gigi and Alex had already won some trophies here, but what about Chiellini? He didn't have any trophies just like van Persie? It's all about loyalty to the club. It made me a lot prouder to be a Juve fan when Piero, Buffon and Nedved etc. didn't leave a sinking ship.
The focus here is on Wenger.. I agree with ur post. But you can not compare it because we did not have the same coach for 8 years without getting anywhere.. I don't understand how Arsenal and the fans can accept Wenger still being there. It really does not matter what he has done for the club before. 8 years without a title dude! 8 fucking years.. that is insane.. A coach would never be allowed that in a big Italian or Spanish club.. NEVER EVER!

Zidane was not released, he was bitching big time and Real had to break bank to get him. I'd love for RVP to be our Zidane

I don't remember Zidane bitching a lot. It was a fair deal between Moggi and Real Madrid. You'd have to be crazy not to accept such an offer at that time. His wife I guess was bitching more.

Well, to get a third place with Arsenal's squad this year is quite impressive. I actually thinks he's a pretty good coach - he's just horrible at buying new players because he always buys them too young... I guess I see your point, but I do think Arsenal's transfer this season has been pretty good so far compared to a lot of other years. I could understand if he wanted to leave a year ago, but right now Arsenal isn't doing that horrible on the transfer market.

I heard he didn't show up to training or something. I'm happy we did it though.

Name one Juventus player/champion who wanted to leave badly this club? Except Zidane who was more released by Juventus and not pressured at all for a record transfer.
I take it you are excluding the summer of 2006, due to exceptional circumstances?

Why not forgive them?

Are you a professional player in your prime who worked your entire life to be the best and be forced to sacrifice something huge because your club got demoted?

Now that it is official that he is not gonna renew his contract and he stated that he wants a big Club to win something I think it just can be us.
If he wants more that is just possible with a handful Clubs like:

Milan... but he is not a free transfer and they have already Ibra.
Real... maybe, but it frees up Benzema or Hiquain and we buy one of those.
Barca... They have Messi, Villa and Sanchez and they play with a single forward so van Persie would be a expensive backup and I don't think he would be ok with that.
Manu... They have Rooney,Walbek and now bought Kagawa from Dortmund and aren't they playing a offense with Young-Rooney-Nani?
City... They have Dzeko, Tevez, Balo and Augero if they buy him it would free up Dzeko but Mancini also stated that he is not interested.
Bayern... They play with a single Forward and thats Gomez and they just bought Mandzukic as backup.
PSG... They have a lot of money and why not but I don't think that Pastore, Lavezzi and Thiago Motta is making a winning Team.
and last but not least...
Juventus ... Desperately looking to get a great forward!

Somehow thats a 1+1=2 situation or not?

For 17-20 Mio we sure can get him.

I like the way you think! ;) But what about Chelsea? They are selling Drogba and could probably need another striker.
