“a big champion”
van Persie. The champion without a championship.

It's all part of an already tedious saga where Juventus wants to purchase a centre forward, and he's not actually far from the truth is he? In certain cases he might be wrong, but he knows his players and we don't.

Boooooring.

We wont sign players that would get the interest from a EPL top club (not including Arsenal) or the La Liga duo, so what he says is the natural way of things now, and what players themselves are thinking. But he still a classless whiner anyways, an deluded, he will lose RVP, either this summer or next doesnt matter. And he will excuse it away and buy some mediocre player as usual, remains to be seen if Arsenal decide to be competetive and ambitious "top" club for once (thats why I didnt include them) and get rid of him before he goes another 7 seasons without title.

I like the fact that he mocks the italian level and yet seems to forget that they got eliminated by an Italian team in the CL.

• 12th July, 2011: Wenger "confident" Cesc Fabregas will remain an Arsenal player.

• 12th July 2011: Wenger "confident" Samir Nasri will remain an Arsenal player.

• 13th June 2007: Wenger "guarantees" Thierry Henry will remain an Arsenal player.

29th July, 2004: Wenger "confident" Patrick Vieira will stay at Arsenal.
He was right about that one.

following Wengers comments the one thing ive noticed about fans and player/managers associated with the epl is they lack class their always arrogant and think their the best and always haveto point their achievements out. Serie a fans ,players and managers are maybe more crazy and outspoken but their more humble and respectful and rarely talk other footballing nations down when in comparison to the Serie A and la nazionale s achievements. Italy are the most sucessfull european footballing country ever on a national level and throughout the last century has been the most sucessfull league along with la liga and the epl. This excact reason is why I will always be a Juve fan because we have class and loyalty as well as being humble unlike epl fans anyone else notice this? Also lastly what has english football given serie a? we have given them great players like zola and di cannio not to mention the coaches that teach the english how to play football capello, mancini, ancelotti where are all the english coaches in serie a? and the epl coaches troll the serie a the league that has given england so much its shameful

I hate the overrated EPL, but i have to admit that Wenger was right, in terms of prestige, the level of play and financial considerations,
the EPL atm is at a level above serie A.
This is undeniable, the prestige took a huge blow and it was sacrificed, so that the united league of our enemies can prevent of raping them on the field.
The level of play is related to the financial status of the clubs. And the EPL clubs are the wealthiest in the world, for the very known reasons...

However the difference is not that great, so that leaving 5th EPL, for the Italian champions, can be considered a step backwards.
Thats disrespectul and full of arrogance and even ignorance, as money, despite being the most important, is not the only thing that matters in football...

And wenger was also right to consider RVP a champion, despite the fact that he won no titles.
Grosso and Giaccherini have won some titles but they are not really champions, while RVP is quite established even though he didnt.

imagine the serie a with the facilities of the bundesliga and epl..... it would be MILES above any other league, but let's get their first then do the talking
