I'd agree with this strategy if we already bought a quality attacker which'd improve our starting X1.But it seems we are forced pick an option here.Either splash the money on the bench or get a top class young player and we always go with the former.

I've already let my opinions known. We need some injection of flair, fancy and pace.We need an attacker who could improve starting X1 attacking frontline. That should be priority over depth.
I agree with the injection for flair up top, let's hope Coman wasn't the only one brought for that. I'm all for a tricky player, that's why I was hoping for Iturbe (but Mark jinxed that with the flight shenanigans).

Morata could be a pleasant surprise. A lot of people gave Llorente slack because he hadn't played for a year or wasn't that flair style player and that benefited us greatly. Hell, even Tevez was doubted by some here. Conte never built his team around flair it was always about out smarting and out working the opposition through possession and numbers in the box. Allegri has always had those tricky players at Milan so perhaps we will get our wish.

I'd like this deal to go through, even with the price, because IMO getting Asaomah back to his natural role will benefit the team more than keeping him on the left. To me, that's just as valuable as a player you and I are looking for.

Look, with all the height we will have in the box, I just want players that can cross. We haven't had that since Nedved or Camo. :D

Watch us blow 15m on him.
18m for Morata and potentially 15m on Pereyra.

Prioritizing depth each and every time over strengthening our first X1.Dont care if i get flamed but this just screams provinciality for me.This has happened too many times for my liking. But Beppe doesnt take key decisions obviously.I'm sure this strategy of buying players is forced upon by Agnelli too. :touched:
Lol I actually agree. We'll miss out on players like Jovetic/Lavezzi/Shaqiri just to buy Cerci + Pereyra and then claim we can't compete financially, lol.

And then we suffer season after season to get rid of these players. At the same time those same people tell us how the market is difficult these days. Or whatever excuse they have for not selling such players.
Only :beppe: will try to get away with such a deceptive scheme

Yeah dropping 15M on Pereyra and then claiming we don't have money for an AM/winger would be pathetic.

Secure a quality player for our starting XI and then worry about the bench.

We're really only missing one quality AM/winger in this team, I hope Marotta realizes this...
