Instead of buying players to strengthen the team and filling the holes, our strategy is to fill the bench with rotational players first..

If this deal goes through, our bench will end up being more expensive than our starting eleven

And then we suffer season after season to get rid of these players. At the same time those same people tell us how the market is difficult these days. Or whatever excuse they have for not selling such players.

18m for Morata and potentially 15m on Pereyra.

Prioritizing depth each and every time over strengthening our first X1.Dont care if i get flamed but this just screams provinciality for me.This has happened too many times for my liking. But Beppe doesnt take key decisions obviously.I'm sure this strategy of buying players is forced upon by Agnelli too. :touched:

Selling depth players like Quag and Mirko and not replace them with younger potentially better players. :touched:

So little foresight.
No plan.
No responsibility.
Such undominating dominance in italy.

Wow

I am not for one bit implying that we do not need depth but the fact that we're using TOO MUCH MONEY on depth.Misuse of limited funds basically.

I understand man. :D

But take a step back an look at it in the fact we already have a very solid starting 11 and have brought great players at little value that could profit us massively if we sell them. Now we are selling the older fringe players on high salaries and bring in longer term solutions to fill the bench with quality ...YOUNG QUALITY.

I think it's great we are taking chances rather than window shopping at clubs like Cesena or Sassuolo for the next Peluso/Padoin. If a player is good enough that Madrid demands an option to buyback the player, that should be enough to convince us. Further more, we have a great CM we always use as a Left winger, and this guy could allow us to use him in a position not only he prefers but can give us more in that natural role (asamoah).

Can't we all just rejoice and be optimistic? :D

I'd agree with this strategy if we already bought a quality attacker which'd improve our starting X1.But it seems we are forced pick an option here.Either splash the money on the bench or get a top class young player and we always go with the former.

I've already let my opinions known. We need some injection of flair, fancy and pace.We need a player who could improve starting X1 attacking frontline. That should be priority over depth.
