he is a very good player and Secco would be dumb not to go for him. 10 million is a lot but he would be a great investment. If anything, he could turn out to be one of the best out there.

definitely need a player like him in central midfield.

Mavuba and Diego in the middle would be sweet.

Mavuba would be a nice addition to the Juventus CM. He would bring exactly the type of dimension we would need. I would like to see us sign a more experienced player as well though. I just don't think Mavuba is ready to handle such a large task.

Nedved recently suggested how he would prefer to play in a Central role. Perhaps this is a solution to a lot of problem. But, the only downside I can see is Nedved getting pysicall drained. Yes, his fitness has always been a huge strenght for him, but I would hate to take it for granted. Any one think that Nedved in CM would be a bad move?

Why would it be a bad move if Nedved prefers it ? On the other hand, who is going to play on the left wing then ?

CM would be a good move for Neddy, but he will have to track back and close down which will take a further edge off his attacking play.

Could be the way forwad imho.

If players were always right we wouldn't need coaches. He is playing LW for a reason.

On the Left wing we would need to pick someone up. IMO there are a lot more good options for SM's and Wingers than DM/CM's.

This is the problem, Neddy isnt going to last forever and we have NO replacement for him in terms of LW, nor do we have a replacement for him when he drifts imfield.

IMHO we need a cm and a winger more than a DM, as either way, we dont have enough strenght in depth for either position.

I just think Neddy meant he was more tactical locked in the LW position this year by DD. I think he prefers to have a more free role like when he had Zambrotta behind him who always pushed forward on the left flank. When the new Rambo gets back on the LB role I think the problem will be solved as he also has great stamina and likes to push forward.

Then again last night Neddy was everywhere on the pitch, so maybe DD have already given him a more free role..

Personally I prefer him on the left given a more free role.

Indeed, as was pointed out prior, our left wing tactic of giving neddy the free role with rambo rampaging down the left has worked in the past. But Rambo was the key to that formation as he basically looked after the entire left flank, imho there isnt anyone who could do that for us.

That is not the point. Nedved has his preferred role and DD will do everything to get the best out of him. Coaches usually ask players what position do they prefer before they put them on the field. Otherwise it would be a total chaos. That is called player-Coach communication.

You obviously don't coach. Sounds nice though.

Let me introduce you to the new Rambo, he goes under the name Chiellini :smoke:

Maybe I'm to confident but he seems to have improved so much defensively since he's been playing as a central defender. He's been much better than Boumsong IMO, although that might not say that much :D
I know he's got the stamina to take over. He's improved alot defending and he also seems much more calm. I think this kid is ready for the task, both for Juve and the Azzuri in the future.

HAHA

I like Chiellini and I think he can play the role up to the standard we will need.

And what about Palladino for a replacement for Nedved on the wing, he has proven several times this season that he can also play good there?

I like Palladino too much as a backup to DP. Palla will play well in any of the attacking positions. I actually prefer Bojinov on the wing. He doesn't pump in the goals, but he really creates some problems and has a decent cross that can be improved.
