First of all, let's not just based our opinion on that season alone. I am shocked to see that you disagree on Xavi and Essien. Those 2 are the best in the business when it comes to CM.

@ Nick 19: Don't judge him based on his England performance or this current season with Liverpool. Gerrard has been performing at a top level for some time even though he is a big cunt
I'm not basing it on any season, if I did then Xavi would be ahead of almost everyone on that list...and how those 2 are the best in the business in their area of pitch, so is Ribery.

Silva is better than Ribery though, yet you failed to mention him. David Villa is better than any of those Strikers you mentioned Delle Alpi.

Ribery is amazing. This year he's not so good but mainly because he wanted out of Bayern but was denied a move. I think throughout the whole season he's been a little unmotivated.

Nonsense. Actually this whole thread is nonsense. Is Ribery good...

It's a strong eleven but not as good as Brazils or Spains in my opinion. Not to sound arrogant but other than those two I think we could beat anybody else on our day. I think we'll get to the semi's but thats it.
On our day, we could beat you..

I see the WC the same as you, even though our squad won't be quite as balanced and complete as yours. Brazil and Spain have the best teams, then you have a group of those who are on pretty much the same level, or have equal chances if you will, depending on a bit of luck and form of the day.

What, no way.

If people don't want him it's just because they know it's too hard to get. Top class striker.
I'm not talking about people wanting him here, it's encouraging to see that so many love him. In various sites I always see the "best striker" thing mentioned and Drogba, Zlatan, Torres, Eto'o, Rooney all come up as the main contenders and Villa is just a side note.

Well yeah, that might be true. People have no idea what are they talking about and mainly it's just because he's a Valencia player.

I think some people confuse over-rated with over-priced.

Rated means his abilities as a player. It's not his fault clubs would pay 60 for him but that doesn't make him over-rated but over-priced. Also, watching injuries isn't really fair.

Ribery is an amazing player. I wouldn't pay 60mln for him, though.

Is Zlatan worth 50m? Is Ronaldo worth 90m? Is Kaká worth 65m?

No. People pay over the what the club values the player for a reason.
Thats true, thats why i think last summer was just one stupid transfer period. Other than some smart businesses here and there the rest were just stupid.

If you look at value for money, no transfer comes close to Sneijder to Inter.

Robben to Bayern does actually.

Lesson to learn: Buy Dutch players from Madrid. ;)

Van der Vaart anyone?
