I have no issue moving Chiellini to LB if we sign a great CB to take his place. Chiellini is a top LB in the world IMO. It suits him well. But having a great CB is more important and if we don't replace him, it's stupid.

Chiellini has not established himself as a world class LB at any time unless you want to go off the Milan game alone which is straight up stupid. He has however established himself as a world class center back there's no doubt about that.

Exactly what I was thinking
Chiellini played 1 great game as a LB vs Milan and people here hails him like he has been WC in that position for years.

A quick reminder Chiellini started his career as a LB and was good not great at that position. Then he had a change of role to CB and became the player he is now.

We could try him as a LB in some occasions but to put him regulary is wrong IMO

At the moment a LB is needed much more than a CB

:xfinger: Cissokho or Ansaldi and Tévez. Kolarov is too offensive.

Everyones reactions here are just retarded. Chiellini plays left back well in a game once and all of the sudden he is world class in that position. Its pretty well established in the world of football that Chiellini is one of the best CBs if not the best in Italy. Why wouldn't you just buy a good LB and let Chiellini do what he's best at instead of doing something stupid like putting him out of position so he can make way for an average center back? If Barza keeps up his good work then he's earned his spot add a good LB to that and we are a very solid unit down back for the first time in a long time.
