Bastos is hardly a star. He is not the type of player who can take us to the next level. Surely, he is an upgrade to the shit options we have for the LW position now, but that is because that's what they precisely are, absolute shit!

We had no leftwing all season, bar the few games where De Ceglie or Grosso played well. Bastos will make a huge difference for us, i'm sure.

Sure maybe Krasic was tired given his over one year of non-stop playing but if he had someone like Bastos on the other wing doing damage of his own, maybe he would have had a better second half of the season as well. I'm all for this Bastos signing...for anything under 18m. Remember he is a star at his club and a Brazil starter.

ziegler would be a great squad player and maybe even a starter, considering De Ceglie isn't the most adequate defensive solution to stop a world class right winger. thankfully we wont be playing against many without European football, so Ziegler should be enough for next season.
