He was always only decent to me. Far from being anything to be proud of. Him and De Ceglie? That's anything but good.

In case we sign a very good RB it might look well but if not we are clowns.

Other than that he's a free signing which means we could spend more on other areas, I'm also not too excited of the prospect of Ziegler starting regularly for us next season. I hope if he really comes that he will prove me wrong.

Goo signing for free, him and Beck (any news on him?) should add more stability to the defence.

Beck is RB, Ziegler is LB what the point to compare them? Ziegler's contract will expire with Doria on 30 june and Beck's prices is 5-7mln euros'
It shouldn't be that hard to see that my post was in response to Nedved's, regardless of your IQ.

I've seen a bit of him and i've been hardly impressed, his last match against Wolfsburg was not particularly breathtaking.

He can be good/solid on his day but i don't see him becoming a class rb.

Then we might as well brace ourselves for another 10 years in the wilderness, or hope that we will eventually strike gold by signing unknown/unproven players.

Acquiring shit doesn't guarantee CL football; if anything it ascertains that you lack ambition, and definitively proves that the CL is one obstacle too far. Without CL, no stars will want to join, we will end up signing 2'nd rate players and failing to reach our objectives, and the cycle continues.

Money talks, and we need to spend a lot if we wish to be competitive again. Not only that, but we also need a coach with a brain, a management that understands its function, and a bloody ambitious project.

not necessary though. there are lots of players who can proe them selves with big teams. our previous generation team was an example. Those who want to join shouldnt join for the money. They should join because they want to be part of Juve. Like Krasic, and now Bastos.

Bastos is hardly a star. He is not the type of player who can take us to the next level. Surely, he is an upgrade to the shit options we have for the LW position now, but that is because that's what they precisely are, absolute shit!

Bianconero81,i am sorry dude,i know we are in deep shit but common man,be a bit realistic, you can't expect to sign WC player to every spot...
By getting Bastos we should be happy about,we can't just buy all the Messis and Ronaldos out there...
1.We don't have the money.to pay thay salaries to say the least.
2.Our club runned not by football experts
3.Those WC players just won't come here now.
If end up signing Bastos,Lass,Beck,Ziegler/maybe other LB,and one of Tevez/Aguero i think we should be very happy.
Don't think we will get more than 1 WC player this mercato.
but 1 WC player+ 3/4 Quality players=good mercato.
Ofcourse depends on the coach as well.

i still dont understand that some guys here want to spend 100m on 3-4 WC players forgetting that there is 15 player from the current squad will be sold or returned to there clubs.
juventus lacking quality and number, obviously juve will run after any player out of contract (Pirlo,Ziegler,etc...) in this way juve will save money to by quality (if any one agree to come to juve)
