The Allievi Nazionali have continued their recent resurgence with a 1-0 away victory over Genoa.
Ivano Della Morte’s side, fresh from last weekend’s 1-0 success over Siena, ran out winners for the second time in the space of a week thanks to Vitale’s free-kick midway through the first half.
Speaking after the final whistle, Della Morte said: “We’ve come out fighting after a difficult time. Once again we included six players born in ’97 in our starting line-up, but all did extremely well.
“It’s a new group, we need to give the younger element time, while the foreign lads and new arrivals also need time to settle in. The commitment has never been lacking, and we’ve started to reap the rewards in the past couple of weeks.
“We know there’s still a lot to do and now we’ll look ahead to next Sunday’s Fiorentina encounter.”
