He reminds me of Pepe a bit
I was actually going to say the same thing lol

We have lacked a lot of leadership over the years, and the fact he's already settling in as someone who gets the crowd and team going is pretty dope. Sadly, Jungtoli didn't get a buy option, so that's not good at all.

I like him.

His passing is really poor but you can tell he loves to defend which we badly miss with Bremer out. Seems like one of the few in our squad who shows a bit of passion and wants to bring it out in others.
If he can play DM then his passing can improve. Honestly, if we're worried about his passing right now, then he must be doing something right. He has a room to grow.

Too bad Jungtoli screwed us out of a buy option.

The question is, where do u fit him if u want to buy Hancko. I mean, we cant expect to have two ACLs in defence each year, right? Right?

LCB
It really helpful to have left footed CB that can also pass. It opens more passing lane and option to start attack

See in around 30 seconds, 48, 1:18 on how we can start attack from his progressive pass by his left foot. As most of Inter players pressed from inside to out, Using left foot pass as LCB open new passing lane to fullback / winger / striker directly

^ what baus said

my only concern is the small sample size. and the fee chelsea would ask. that's two lol. but so far veiga has been good. hancko isn't a total jabroni either but i'd prefer veiga for the above reasons

yes, i really like his passes, much better than Gatti or even Kalulu, but i see some guys here questioning this here. I would totally welcome us buying him, pretty sure Chelsea will want 30m in the summer but will eventually sell.

The issue is how are we going to get him if Chelsea do not want to sell. They also have these guys locked on like 9 year contracts

Well, I fail to see why they wouldnt want to sell:

they are completely stacked in CB area, they just want to earn more on him, they wwill set a 30m price tag probably.

Wasn’t Cuadrado initially a loan from them as well? Then we concocted some convoluted loan/option/obligation :)beppe:) and ended up getting him permanently.

As others have said, Chelsea are stacked in CB and if they miss out on CL football they’ll also want to sell to trim their squad and monetise where possible. Also, it looks like this fella really loves it here. Players will could make the difference.

€15M for Digre
€14M for Kalulu
€30M for Conceicao
€15M for Lord Kelly
€25M for Kily Gonzalez

That's €100M+ in options/obligations

Would be difficult to get both Veiga and Muani without a couple of big sales AND CL football.

I also think Chelsea will be open to a sell due to being stacked but the biggest question mark is what their asking price will be because they will too want to sell to the highest bidder and Veiga having a very good half season here means there will be interest from other suitors that could potentially outbid us…

Our best chance is the player’s will to push for a move here, and by the looks of it he should have every interest in doing so, has adapted well and is flourishing in this environment.

Cambiaso is almost certainly one of those sales. Vlahovic should be another one.

I think it’s 100% possible. Obviously this is contingent on us getting CL football.
