€15M for Digre
€14M for Kalulu
€30M for Conceicao
€15M for Lord Kelly
€25M for Kily Gonzalez

That's €100M+ in options/obligations

Would be difficult to get both Veiga and Muani without a couple of big sales AND CL football.
We can if we sell some of current players, Douglas Luiz for 40m, Cambiasso for 70m and Vlahovic switch sides with the same $$ to PSG (or some another merry go round)

He fucked up a bit on that Lautaro chance, think he could do better by forcing the passing player closer to the corner line, but then again Thuram should cover ground faster and Savona lost his player so he had to compensate for that. But that was a proper scare

It’s still a small sample size if we are to be fair and things can still go south at any point but truth is he keeps showing the right attitude and does give me the vibes that he is almost what we had hoped DeLigt would be for us when we broke the bank for him, ofc different scenarios and less pressure on Veiga atm due to no pricetag and no absurdly high wages, however he is living up to the hype and currently exceeding expectations for his age and experience, unlike the dutch.

The issue is how are we going to get him if Chelsea do not want to sell. They also have these guys locked on like 9 year contracts
Chelsea spent €14m to bring in Veiga from Basel. If both Juve and Veiga wants to continue at the end of the season I can see us get him. It's not like Chelsea have made a €50m investment on him

Like all the players on loan if we want them we will keep them. Most have come on loan because they weren't getting minutes or it wasn't going well. Odds are if they do well they won't want to leave and even if another team comes in and ups the price it's all about the players will.

Chelsea didn't want to sell him before he left so if he keeps playing well and creating hype for himself I can't see why they would change their minds.

Certainly not at a discount anyway. This loan was only possible because of two reasons.

To drive his price up or to get him more experience so that he is ready to start playing for them.

Either way this is going to be really difficult unless he plays terrible for the rest of the season.

I am not too worried about our chances to sign him permanently. Obviously if he impresses the next couple of months he should be our CB signing of the summer, having these months under his belt already. Spending 30m on him makes more sense than spending it on Hancko (even though I still think he would be a good addition as well, for the right price).

Insane that he shows this much leadership and character at his age while having just joined not only a completely new team, but also a league and country. He has made some rookie mistakes in all games he played, but that is expected at his age and experience level. Hope he learns from them though, because some could have been very costly and this thread would have had a different tone.

I hope at the end of the season we are still having these fears of losing him, means he has done well. For now that is the most important thing.

I had a look to see what Chelsea fans were saying when he was loaned, and some were suggesting Chelsea only wanted to sell him (I'm presuming for PSR reasons) and weren't open to a loan, which several teams offered, but when Juve came in all parties were happy with it.

Supposing this is true, and I do think there is a focus at Chelsea to shuffle the pack, and may well move a fringe player for 30m+ that they paid 14m for (due to juggling PSR), my biggest concern for signing him permanently is that if he plays great we only have the will of the player in our favour, as he seems to have fitted in well. Otherwise his valuation goes up and we would end up either being outbid for him or paying over the odds (again).

He may well get promises that he'll be in the main 20 players next season, but Chelsea are very scattergun in how they assemble their squad, and many of the players feel like nothing more than investments to me. After all, he only played 176 mins so far in the league this season, and out of position.

Its gonna be up to the player, like it almost always is. If he pushes for the move it will happen. Remember theres a reason why he left Chelsea to begin with. They have Colwill and Badiashile at his position.

I'm just a short subway ride from where he's from. I hope he is reading my words. This seems to be working thus far. :calmark:

we're yet to drop a point with veiga

it's not only him of course. randy was crucial as he scored or assisted against 3 of those 4 teams, and we also play a bit deeper, without less obsession with useless possession. it's still obvious that veiga is yet to play a bad match for jj. very quick and seamless integration from him

Somehow we forget that we can have another loan for next season WITH option/obligation to buy. Thankfully Guintoli reminds us about it with Kolo Muani talks
