Nah I am not buying this personality or mentality shit.

Remember when Gatti was blocking shots like prime Nesta, dribbling like Messi and scoring like Trezeguet and everyone was talking about his grinta, but then he gradually turns into a mediocrity if not liability?

Well, that IS what's going to happen in this case. @Amer

Aside from a cheap corner giveaway and a few passes that lacked precision he has generally been rock solid at the back, did well also in moving the ball up the field yesterday, got even close to creating a goal… and given the lack of urgency we generally see from our players it’s actually nice to see someone this fired up and motivated to prove himself.

The two instances that he moved the ball into the midfield and no jj player freed themselves to receive a pass was painful to watch. This team is static & confused af.
Remember when this team was static & confused af and the coach found a solution for that?

Well that's not what's going to happen in this case.

He's our only actual ball playing defender and now we won't be so reliant on locatelli to drop deep. Veiga's range of passing especially long range has outnumbered Gatti and Kalulu combined already this season. I'm starting to wonder whether it would be better to invest in Veiga rather than Hancko and find an actual left back in the summer instead.

I really hate the fact that the players I'm starting to like only came on loan with no option. It's like falling in love with a stripper but she doesn't belong to you.

for all the shit Tuz reactionaries have been throwing at Guintoli this mercato I think this guy might be a crucial signing for us to make 4th place. Having a CB who is actually good on the ball seems crucial to Motta tactics.
