Without taking anything away from his good performance today just keep in mind it was against Empoli after all, still need a larger sample size before we can really judge, but signs are surely promising.

Nice comp, however it doesn’t include the most important block of the game, on the replay it looked like he saved a goal there, couldn’t find it yet to post either

I don't know anything about his history with Chelsea, is he a player they are looking to move or one they want to keep?

Hard to get excited about a 21yo CB on a dry loan.
Chelsea are rather overcrowded in defense, i’d say that it depends how much he ‘impresses’ here, i think the dry loan is because they probably still believe in him but might be open to let him go for the right price.

Finally found it, for some odd reason none of the Seria A or Juventus channel highlights include this game changing moment, luckily Empoli included it as it was one of their biggest chances in the game while still 2:1…

Just skip to after the 1:50 minute of the clip, the replay from behind the goal shows how crucial of a block it was.

The ridiculous celebration for blocking Luuk De Jong was a little much. But thanks I guess for being in the right spot.
He’s half the size and was isolated with him in the 6 yard box, guy probably feared the worst. Looks fairly emotional with that reaction as well as trying to pump the crowd up. I’d rather guys with personality like him than the collection of lifeless Koops and Kellys.

All the half decent players/difference makers happen to be on dry loans while the obligation signings have been super disappointing. This is a serious problem.

He should play LB once Kalulu returns from injury.

It wasn't De Jong but I agree on the rest. At least someone with some winning mentality.

I'd put Kalulu at RB and Cambiaso on the left so he can go on attacking.
