OK, if this is confusing, I apologize:redface:

Here goes:

I have figured out how to get live streams of matches from your posts here.
My problem--they're often on at a very early hour here.

So, my question:

How does one go about recording these streams when one is not online?
I know there are recording programs that will do this, but I'll be darned if I know how.

I guess I'm asking: how do you set your computer "VCR" to tape a match that is on a live stream?

Thanks a lot for the help:)

EDIT: Would the site consider offering taped Serie A matches here? As they are not availabe to purchase as a webcast (or are they?) like CL (at least in the US), it shouldn't be any problem for the site--or would it?

I don't know of any timed stream caputure, though it would be a nice idea for things like timed events off of streaming broadcasts. Others may have suggestions here.

In the meantime, Lou, I've got a DVD burner at home, etc. PM me offline, and we might be able to make some arrangement. Though if the FCC comes knocking on your door, you never heard of me. :p

Btw, here's something I came across that might help on the digital end:
    http://www.download.com/WM-Recorder/3000-2194_4-10362896.html
they have something called WM Recorder and WM VCR which sounds like it does what you'd want. There may be others that people can cite. I can't claim anything about whether it works well or not, though.
Will look into that...or bite the bullet and get GolTV:)

There is a software called Streamdown made a company called Cocsoft (don't ask - quoted from Graham). The software allows you to record a video stream on to your harddrive.

You can download the software from here: http://stream-down.cocsoft.com/

And if it asks for a serial number or anything of the likes, send me a PM.

Unfortunately the quality of most streams are so bad I wouldn't waste time recording one. I'll record the game this weekend that's on Canal+ though since I now have digital TV. I could share it if there's interest and if it turns out good.
