70 mil euro was an exageration by the newspaper as many of us has suspected.
Newspapers now claim that Juventus wont sell Zlatan for anything less then 40 mil euro.
On a side note, ll the inormation is coming from Zlatans Agent.
Zlatan is up for contract discussions and having real madrid chasing him is a good bargaining chip.

One of the reasons I don't want us to sell him is because it is about time someone stood up to Real Madrid - they think they can buy whoever they want just because they are who they are.
They have the arrogance to assume that every player wants to play for them, and Perez usually names the players he is after in the press - he is so sure he will get them. Can you imagine Moggi doing that?
Madrid just see who is playing great at he moment and then tries to buy him, it's almost like assembling a fantasy football team.
That's the one thing about Juve's transfer policy that has worried me over the years. Juve is prepared to sell it's best players - something that Barca, Real, Milan, even Inter, don't do. So when Milan signs Kaka at age 22, you know he will want to stay there for life, so even if Madrid come calling, his loyalty to Milan will mean he isn't interested. He seemed to instantly come out and say he wants to end his career at Milan, players don't tend to want to do this at Juve (the big players anyway, they just seem to say they don't know what will happen in the future - thus meaning they might move on if Madrid are interested!).
Juve doesn't seem to breed this loyalty in their players. Their 'business first' attitude (i.e, if it's good financial sense to sell then they tend to do it) has given them a reputation as a 'selling' club and the players know this. Of course there are exceptions, but everytime Madrid are linked to one of our players, I fear that we won't be able to hang on to them.

I have talked about this before, our management is treating Juventus like a business commercial company, that makes us a well balanced team from a financial point of view, but this give the like of Perez the impression that any Juve player is under his disposal if he just show his check box, and this is really disgusting

Its unlikely we'd sell Zlatan as long as Capello's around. However, personally, it makes perfect business sense to do so. The fact of the matter remains, Juve does not yet have a squad that has the depth or the talent for that matter to challenge for the Champions League. Holding on to Zlatan and 'building a team around him' in my opinion will need a lot more time (and money), than if we actually sell him at 4 times the amount we paid for him. Especially considering the financial climate in the football world at this point of time, i dont see us getting a better deal in the near future whatever Zlatan does from hereon in. Which brings me to the next point, of what we can do with that amount of money given the state of the football economy. We could fund transfers that would probably suffice for another cycle of success, in the forthcoming seasons. And with it bring us everything we lack in terms of depth and potential at a reasonable price compared to the amounts paid in the seasons gone by. The fact remains, that in the future, Zlatan may not want play at Turin, for want of living in another city that coaxes his flamboyant lifestyle, or like Zidane maybe forced by his girlfriend or wife to live near the sea. Then, we'd have to let go of him at a price that would be shoved down our throats, in a situation that i hope will not arise in the first place. And i believe the one club player era is long gone. Today, everybody wants to do better for themselves, and sentiment only holds us back whether you look at it from the point of view of the team, or the player. Case in point: Del Piero. I think he has been one of the major reasons we havent been able to challenge for the Champions League in the last 5 seasons, because the management continued to believe in his ability and continued to believe he was the big game player and the player who the team should depend on. Without realising how much they were shooting themselves in the foot, by not letting him go. It not only held back the injection of younger players hungry for success but it also led to the sacrifice of others. Sure, you need a spark of magic or individual brilliance to win you games (like what Zlatan can provide). But i dont think that alone, can sustain a Champions League and Scudetto campaign, unless of course, its supported by the elegance, flair and work ethic we lack at most other positions on the field.
I agree with baggio, currently I dont see Zlatan as a Juve for life kinda player, but selling him after 1 season is too early. Think how much we can make off of him once he improves his game.
I dont want to see Zlatan leave and frankly if Madrid get him then we are no better off in the Champions League by giving an opponent a deadly player.
besides, with the money Madrid are offering we can only perhaps guarentee Gilardino, and enough money for a creative midfielder with great quality. But, that does not guarentee success. In my opinion we are one step closer to further success with Zlatan on the team than 70million in our pockets.
