The negotiation between #Juventus and #PSG for #KoloMuani would have had the final surge last Wednesday, thanks to the intervention of the bianconero ownership, that would have given the mandate to proceed even without any important exits in the mercato.

I can’t believe I will live to see a time where Kolo freaking Muani is going to be the top earning player at Juventus…
Coming off the 2022/23 season in Frankfurt with 23 goals and 14 assists, Kolo Muani was a top target for all the big clubs in Europe. He was one of the most sought after players in the world. PSG paid €95m to sign him back then. Pause for a second there. €95m. This is a top player and we are absolutely not taking a massive gamble signing him now

He's a good player I'd like to have back, but he's not a top player just because PSG massively overpaid for him. They may have hoped he was gonna turn out to be a top player, but that didn't happen.

Not saying he's a world class player but he is a top player. Should he join us, he is the biggest name on our roster. Clearly they overpaid. But it gives you an idea of how sought after Kolo Muani was just a few years ago. So to compare him to say Kalimuendo is not valid in my opinion

He scored twice the number of goals for Rennes as Koko did with the amazing PSG...
Funny you say this. Kalimuendo is a PSG academy talent, was there for years. Not deemed good enough for main team when he played, bounced around in loans, sold, and frankly not doing much since he left them.

Kolo Muani is 95m flop for them, but he was signed as a big star signing with alot of expectations. Because he had a fantastic years in bundesliga as all around versatile forward.

Granted PSG shouldn't been bamboozled, because by now it should been common knowledge that Frankfurt is the German Atalanta, almost all major sales they do flop elsewhere initially. Its a churn out machine that makes players look better than they are.

Bottom line, Kolo Muani despite it all is a good to very good complete CF.

Kalimuendo is mainly just a speedster CF with limited game until he shows otherwise.

Unless we hit a jackpot as we did with Yildiz, players like Kolo are the best we can buy in the near future. We don't like it, but that's the reality.

We are back to the Vucinic stage of our team building. Getting good to very good forwards because we dont have the allure or finance for top ones.

And just like Vuci, I expect us to be happy with the contributions of Kolo Muani.

Aslong as we don't expect too much.

How magical that 2010/11 season was when the additions made to the squad lead us to the Scudetto. I see how you draw a parallel to Kolo and how this club simply are not able to sign the top of the top and instead make solid signings like Kolo. I too believe Kolo can mean the difference between a fourth place campaign and one where we fight for the title. We still need a few more players though. Add a wingback like Molina, a winger Sancho/Zhegrova and a left footed centre back like Veiga. And a promising talent like Fabio Chiarodia and I think we have a team that can challenge Napoli

P$G only signed Kolo Muani in a last ditch attempt to convince Mbappe to stay (they are good friends). It didn't work. He was absolutely shocking in Paris.

I liked his contributions with us last season, but for me he isn't a top player. We are overpaying and doing PSG a massive favour in the process IMO.

Has he taken part in PSG’s group training sessions during preseason? Or did he skip preseason altogether? He’s joining JJ really late, if he hasn’t had a preseason, he’ll probably struggle.

I still think we will regret this move in a year due to his inconsistency in front of goal, and that we hope we can lure some German club to sign him cheaply.

So our top earn player is going to be a player who was a top player 3 years ago? ... yeah... thats great...

Look, I have no problem on getting Kolo, he is a good player and has prove it in his time here... however, that doesnt mean that we should go and ppay 60M for him AND biesides that making him out top salary player (if Vlahovic leaves), not in our current financial situation, Kolo is not the player we should "break the bank".

For the money we are reporting going to pay and that salary we can easily get a young striker AND a central defender...

Hate paying PSG excessively, fucking oil club but the squad would be lean if not bringing a forward. Can't rely on Vla as he barely deliver beside too many injuries and wasting chances.

It's baffling how little he has scored so far for such a great player. He misses a lot of chances, but it's not like he shoots 3 meters high like Vlahovic—it’s usually just a matter of 30 to 50 centimeters. His technique and passing are flawless; he is fast, physically strong, tall, tactically intelligent, he has everything. With a tiny bit more accuracy in front of goal, he would have been another Suarez, Benzema, or Ibra.

Yes, for the reported €70m total or €55m it would be a massive fee. The way RKM transfer to us is like Koop last season. Started from €40m and become €58m.

I know RKM also give priority to join us but we should have explore other options like Inter do with Lookman or Milan with Vlahovic (opt out to Boniface). PSG also need to remove his €9m net wage bill because he wont play. The upside only because his good performance for us half season ago so they believe we will pay

so he is basically new morata? without the big game moments.

So based on the news last week the fee was agreed with PSG but waiting to finalize departures before settling. I thought it was 10m loan + 45m obligation (total 55m) and 7m net salary for Muani. So now its 70m? Any credible source.

Bottom line, he is not coming in my view if Vlahovic stays. We are amortizing him at 20m this year and paying 24m in gross salary.

Ironically, despite not being a regular player on the team and not being well supported by the players around him, he is more consistent than any other striker.
