Seven doesn't realize that many of the same judgments he applies to other religions also apply to his own belief systems. It would absolutely sicken him to think that way. But it's just one flavor among belief systems like any other -- subject to many of the same flaws of human ignorance and superstition and the faith put behind belief systems in a vain attempt to explain the universe for them.

What has this to do with anything said here?
Everything. If you haven't been following the discussion, let me remind you: people started to claim that fasting wouldn't impede a footballer from a certain performance level. Andries and I presented factual evidence from scientific journals proving that footballers need a carbohydrate-loaded diet to keep their strengths, but some people still wouldn't accept it. The whole discussion was going fine until some individuals said we're here because we hate Islam.

For the record, I don't have any problem with those practicing religion. But I do have a problem when people of religion don't accept proven matters in the scientific world because that is why my country is light years behind experimenting with stem cells. And that research could very well change/save the lives of people I know, so don't tell me I have to respect a state of mind that clearly isn't helping anybody.

I bet all you culturaly, inferiour, pre-Renaissance Muslims can't wait to devolpe into the sophisticated and enlightened westerners who have been kind enough to give you the benifit of their wisdom.

Just think in a 1000 years or so, you too can be like them.

Thanks be to God.

Why do people of religion so quickly dismiss scientific facts? The only evidence they have is what some book written before modern science has to say, and I find that not only frustrating, but a detriment to society.

This is why morons still think it's immoral to use stem cells in research despite being able to use skin cells one kills every single day.

    WTF ?

I really cant believe he said Ramadan was done for to save food, seriously, didnt even expect that from him despite all the self-serving arguments he keeps spewing out. This one seriously takes the cake. You must be joking, or really love to flaunt your ignorance.
i'm not bothering to respond to seven anymore, but i'm quite interested how he's going to justify that hilarious claim
I never made that claim. Many religions have fasting as a ritual and in many cases that is why the original fasting began.

either way, i cant help but think that in essence, seven, is right
That's because I am. Yes Hitler went after homosexuals and gypsies too, but guess what, his main objective was to wipe all Jews from the face of the earth. That people like swag and Enron are telling us WW II had nothing to do with religion only shows how poor the history education in America really is.

which is why the best option available right now is for everyone to just stopping pushing their set of beliefs onto others
You see few agnostics doing this. In fact, I'm not doing this either. All I'm saying is that muslims can't say they know certain things.
