vdv or rosicky....neither sorry. Gonna replace neddy....u need engergy, power, shooting and skill......id be happy with gerrard....fits the juve physical mould.
First of all, Gerrard is hardly a replacement for Nedved, and secondly, if he ever leave Liverpool, Real Madrid will smash the piggy bank to get him. And you know that Moggi will not spend that much money. If you want energy, power, shooting, and skill for a price that's not astronomical, then look at Pizzaro of Udinese. He's got all the things that Neddy has, and he's probably an even better passer, especially around the box.

David Cortes Pizarro has been giving Udinese great performances for the past two years now, and he will move to a bigger club sometime. David does have good all around skills, and is far more creative than Nedved. I wonder how an Emerson-Pizarro pairing in midfield would workout, because the latter would give us more ideas when the ball is being played about. However, I am just skeptical as to whether Pizarro could be influential in such an important club like Juventus. He might only be an outstanding player for smaller sides.

True. Pizarro has not proven himself with a big club, but how is going to get the oppurtunity unless it is afforded to him?

gerrard has basically been given the free role by rafa, and is doing an imperious job in the position.

neddy was a winger when he came, converted into a am. Thus imo gerrard can be converted.

If we wanted gerrard we could probably bid enough to compete with anyone. Moggi jus has to want him enough, and thats were the problem lies.

Gerrard is not going to provide the type of play that Nedved does. Gerrard is a box to box player who controls the middle of the pitch. Nedved is more of a horizontal winger, he control the width of the pitch in the offensive thrid of the field. Gerrard would make a great addition to this team, but he's never going to provide the type of play that Nedved does.

Exactly Ian, and furthermore Gerard is not a natural playmaker. I do not want to try and convert another player into a playmaker, lets get a real one for a change. Also, it might be all fine and dandy in the EPL for Gerard, but once he comes into the Serie A it's a whole different story. No more free central midfield roles.
