Indecisive. Yeah that's it. He's loyal to the club and city he's at now. He wants to prove this last season was a fluke. Got a bit of pride in him. Terrible personality for a coach to have.
Agree, Benitez has never said he wanted to leave Liverpool just if certain conditions that he was promised when he signed his contract were not met then he has other offers to evaluate.

You keep babbling on about these ultimatums like they were truth or something. And even if they were, it was real good of Juventus to unsettle a coach when he's still in an important part of the season.

holding clubs to ransom over personal demands doesn't ooze loyalty to me, certainly at the temptation of joining madrid, Juve and apparently inter linked. the guy is classless, his personal attacks on fergusson are simply pathetic to say the least, and clearly has no personality.
What ransom has he held?

The current owners broke many promises to Rafa, no new stadium, no funding for players for the past two summers, and they've managed to shackle the club in debt. So I don't blame Rafa for looking at other pastures and I wouldn't blame him if he up and left.

Now they are selling the club and Rafa is certainly sticking around to see what the new owners will say. It's called good business. Some might even say loyalty. If Juventus practiced this then they wouldn't have had to can 4 coaches since Serie B.

As for saying he's classes for playing mindgames with Sir Alex, that's a bit of the pot calling the kettle black. Sir Alex is the mindgames king and he's a huge cunt. You're clearly grasping at straws to make up for the fact that Juventus has no power over him. Two "ultimatums" and he's just shrugged them off, real strong bargaining.

And we're "supposedly" a month or two from selling. If we are really that close, you can hardly blame Rafa for wanting to see what the new owners have to offer. Or if any other clubs in better positions than both Liverpool and Juventus want to give him offers.

For what he's done in the six years at Liverpool I think he deserves it.

so do the same thing as this season, spend 80 mil on players and then get the cheapest coach you can find
I'm not saying we are right but Agnelli has his advisors and everyone on this board have been praising the Triade. Moggi and Giraudo in particular and they apparantly have advised Agnelli to leave Benitez.

Mind you it's 80 million on players that will have to be resigned to no CL football and playing without a top coach. Even Roberto Mancini has admitted that Man City without CL football will be unable to land the huge talents they want.

When he left Valencia he cried.......

He is emotionally very attached to Lpool, so maybe he doesn't want to cry again??

;)
He's already said that it would be very difficult for him to leave because his daughters and wife love the city so much.

How this is a bad attribute for a manager to have I do not know.

We were never going to land huge targets anyway. We'll still sign some very good players though.
