Wasn't vorinin free?
But nethertheless I agree, I'm not a fan of wasting £50m on 4 distinctly average players. Had he clubbed that money together and used it on a Torres style signing then Liverpool would be a much better team than they are now.

But i heard if Rafa get in charge he wants to be in charge of the players that we buy. :sergio: God for bid.
I think given the weakness of Siere A these days, a lot of the players that are classed as the average waste of money buys at Liverpool would do quite well here.

Zach must be feeling great

Zacc is even more of a loser than Ranieri. Does he honestly think he'll do well enough to stay in charge. When i think of Zacchroni i think of the 5-1 home defeat in the champions league at home against Arsenal and when i think of Ciro i think of the 4-1 home defeat against Bayern. and when i think of Rafa i think Andrea Dossena. :sergio:

He is a very good tactician and his defensive style fits Italy the most!
His greatest flaw, his managerial skill, wont be such an issue here, because our board does worse anyway and the ve always detain the real control.

Also the competition levels in Italy are far inferior and it will be much easier to hit, to have a positive impact.

Once again i repeat, considering our current options, Rafa is the optimal solution!
Having Lippi as a President/GM wont hurt either...
Bettega for the financial management, Lippi for prestige and general decisions, Benitez for a coach, a fine replacement for Secco
and we can finally start looking like a top club again...

It's a good point you make, I just wonder what the situation could potentially be with Lippi, Secco, Bettega and Benitez possibly at the club at the same time, should be interesting in terms of transfers.

Rafa would be a great move for the summer! But its wrong to sign him now. How should Zac make the players focus 100% knowing that there is already a new coach coming!?...

They could atleast sign him undercover :p

Stupid borad! :sergio:

as long as rafa is not entirely incontrol of transfers and as long as the other person involved in transfers isn't secco

Hey, at least under his heavy rotation system we will see a lot more of Giovinco :D
his 4-2-3-1 alone would do that

I think the Juventus players are told that "yes, Zacch has a 4 month contract..for now." I mean I highly doubt they say "YAYAYA ZACCH WILL BE GONE IN 4 MONTHS, AND THEN BENITEZ IS COMING..YIPPEE!"

Or they might go 'If we dont qualify for the CL,we might be stuck with Zaccheroni'.

If an agreement has been made with Benitez,I'd be very surprised if it doesn't have some clause about him only taking over next season IF we qualify for the CL.

I know there's talk about Rafa maybe coming but i was just watching the Italian news a moment ago and i only caught the end of the conversation and i heard something about Gasperini joining us. probably my error but it looked serious.
