30m as in over 4 years or to buy out his other contract?
I think it's 4 million for him (+ four years). Plus the cost for Moratti. Plus staff.

I don't know if Liverpool would require a fee. He is in contract. If they did I would assume it would be small.

both of them would want control of which players are signed, Benitez would want it the English way, where managers sign players but in Italy its the DS that does the signing

and Benitez contract could be a problem aswell, he wants us to pay out his Liverpool contact in full

If that is truly the case, the idea of signing him is beyond absurd...I was under the impression that we would be paying him a huge sum per year, something like 3-4m. NOT that we we also had to pay out his remaining contract. For that money we could have got Hiddink..maybe we still could?

What is the matter with Benitez's contract with Liverpool? Can't he just resign like all other managers?
He can but then Liverpool is not obligated to pay out the remainder of his contract, so naturally he isn't eager to resign as he's got quite a hefty contract there.

We can't get Hiddink....

Capitano.. Do you have a souce on that?

He is really pushing it if that is true, but I guess he is not stupid. IT is clear for any sane person that transfer matter should be decid between DS the coach and Bettega.. Any other way makes room for too many fuck ups

Which is why they won't ask for any sizeable transfer fee, at least if they think it is time for Benitez to... If the new owners still want him, it could be an obstacle...
