in italy for sure. But I guy who was even better than Zanetti was Tacchinardi :touched: I miss him  One of the most underestimated players.

So we are in agreement that if Juve had the chance to sign Xavi instead of Zanetti 2-3 years back, that would have been a bad move?

Yes. Happy? :)

But, since we don't have him anymore, I think we should stick with Marchisio and maybe give Melo another chance, because he can't be that bad. Sissoko is terriible. We don't need a player who can't pass the ball two metres away. Giovinco and Diego should also definitely be starters.

:sergio: I knew it.

Just for the record, i was playing along with you and i think the idea of rejecting a world class player like Xavi just because a few Spanish players failed in the Serie A in the past is completely idiotic and illogical.

OMG!. I cant believe some people here think that Marchisio and Zanetti are better or on level with Xavi and Iniesta!...

I have been on this forum since 2004, and some still surprise me like hell!

BD what do the ultras think of Rafa and his impending appointment?
:sergio:

from a personal aspect, i take little comfort from the news about his plans for the squad in terms of formation, a 4-4-2? how will that accomodate diego? whilst apparently giovinco wont fit in his formation, certainly im not keen on this appointment, dare i say i think i'd rather have mancini

Dident Gerrard play just under Torres last year?.. Maybe Rafa would use Diego just like he did with the Liverpool cap.?

I never said that. Xavi and Iniesta are great for Spain and probably anywhere in the world, except for Italy. Spaniards just don't play well in Italy. As simple as that.

that was what i was hoping for, am i mistaken to say that rafa has also experimented with a 4-2-3-1 of late?
4-2-3-1 has been the Liverpool system for at least the last two seasons.

I was rather assuming Benitez would stick with that if he came, as it seems to be the system Juve's current squad is most suited to.
