We have decent scouts to pick up prospects. It's just that the upper management pissed our money away so we have to let them go. Then we sign some injury prone or someone past their prime and of course we splash out big. They don't work out for us, so we desperately sign someone else. They don't work out either, but we need to sell someone to fund their replacement. We sign some injury prone or someone past their prime and of course we splash out big. It's a copy-pasted text over and over, as you noted. Instead of describing I added my frustration. The club's decisions has for a long while been based on temporary fixes solved by selling prospects as Demiral, De Winter, Kulusevski, Dragusin, Rovella, Romero, and so on, to solve some quick fixes with temporary (possible) solutions with Arthur, Zakaria, Milik, Kostic, Paredes, Pogba, ADM, and so on.

Dragusin probably needed the loan (experience) and maybe he doesn't turn out to be a world beater. But I would like to have more long-term plans and ideas. I don't know if we have them now but I hope we, for example, send out Huijisen a year on a loan now to come back next year and replace, for example, Rugani. The plan we should have had for Dragusin, instead of shipping him away to fund someone like Weah.

However we did get Cambiaso plus a future resale percentage on Dragusin from Genoa that we also already cashed in when he was sold to Tottenham, this one was actually a smart deal by us for a player that wasn’t going to get much minutes here anytime soon.

On all the other points i agree though.

I agree, it was in hindsight a good transfer. Especially since we now have Cambiaso. But if we had a long-term plan we could have sold Rugani, skipped Gatti, Dragusin could have been our backup and Cambiaso would still be signed because it fits the overall long-term plan.

I am afraid of ending up like Inter when they each year signed a Ronaldo, a Vieri, and the likes. They were individually on a crazy level. But they also replaced half the team and their coach each year had no consistency. They re-started the project each year. I am afraid of ending up like that and fund these decisions by shipping away our talent.

Dragusin went from a breakthrough prospect to a jabroni within like a year lol. His agent sucks too, constantly whining to the press. I wish young players would stop going to the premier league, it isnt a great place to develop. Money talks tho

The idea of bringing him back based on media speculation wouldn't be bad for a short term. With heavy schedule of CL and upcoming coppa matches we need a CB for backup.

Yeah so i was just listening to his agent speaking live on one of the local sports channel here the other day, saying that Juventus have shown serious interest in a loan for Dragusin(most likely dry loan) and that he is open to it as he wants to play more minutes, just waiting on Spurs to make a final decision for the winter mercatto.

Not sure I understood your message. What you said is that the agent has openly confirmed our interest in bringing Dragusin to Turin in January?

Pretty much yes, he talked about Dragusin wanting to play regularly and that Juventus expressed interest in a loan of some sort, but that it depends more on Tottenham.

I doubt he starts regularly over Kulu and Gatti if he comes. I still prefer Cabal rather than Dragusin to take CB role.
Since the beginning of the season, he has been on the bench for most of the matches because he's not that good to be in the starting 11 due to tactical circumstance.

not like he’d be a starter at Juve, he would just replace Danilo and improve depth.
He’d probably still play considerably more minutes here than what he is currently getting there, even more so knowing that it’s only a matter of time before someone else from our defense goes out injured too, hence why his agent is pushing for it, a short term loan would make sense for both parties because he is already accustomed to italian football and wouldn’t need time to settle in.
