Date of birth 4 May 1988 (age 23)
Place of birth Antwerp, Belgium
Height 1.75 m (5 ft 9 in)
Playing position Midfielder

Career

In January 2010 Cagliari Calcio signed the Belgian midfielder on loan from Serie B club Piacenza Calcio.

International career

Nainggolan earned his first international cap on 29 May 2009 against Chile in the Kirin Cup.

Personal life

His father is from Indonesian Batak ancestry—Nainggolan itself is a family name of Batak and name Radja (or Raja) is Indonesian language for "king". His mother is a Belgian national. He has a half brother and two half sisters, and a twin sister.

It appears we are interested in the ultra combative belgian indonesian king, and rightly so, for his form is brillaint, he knows the league and he is of a good age.

Vidal, to me, is our main engine in the team. Other than that shocking attempt at a clearance against Roma, he has been consistently immense, doing more than any other one player in our team to improve our fortunes. When fit, he simply cannot be dropped. Which presently leaves us with Pirlo and MArchisio. We need a regista, and are far more useful both offensively and defensively with a player who is truly classy with the ball at his feet. Pirlo...or his position as regista cannot be dropped. Which leaves MArchisio...who has had a wonderful season so far, but at the same time, has shown thankfully only a few times so far, that he retains that tendency of yesteryear to have games where he does very little. Its his place whom I would see as up for grabs. Part of me says that Marchisio is technically more gifted than Vidal, but another part is less sure of such thing. Its hard to tell really, for Vidal has a different role in our team, far greater defensive duties than Claudio...and when he does go forward, he often looks as technically gifted as the prince.

so...Vidal can have MArchisio's position, King can take Vidal's role. Likely that is awful to suggest to many folks, but I have less love for Marchisio than many, and still have zero eagerness to see him made capitano. A decent player, having a great season, but I have never thought he has the tenacity to be capitano. But then again, I have different preferences for captains than others...

that made me smile mr S. truly a great post. I enjoyed it. Although...its quite likely that if I ever do bring a new soul into this savage realm that the little one will be endowed with some form or artistic potency, for I write...well at times...brutally openly always...and the women I enjoy and generally ensnare with my poetry more often than not are hectic, highly strung, volatile artistic types...who can draw. Unfortunately I am rarely bedazzled by visual art, unless its depicting Mother Nature in full fierceness or the female form beautifully rendered.

I have no confidence whatsoever that if signed, the King would bench Marchisio...at least not for a while. The chances are incredibly slim, and he would much more likely be a Vidal backup/challenger...much to my chagrin.

    Boss.

Radja would be awesome. We could just rotate Marchisio, Vidal and Radja.

if you have something to comment about the JUVENTUS focused topic of this thread, do so. But the above smacks of pointless nastiness. For the chap was playing with me, and I took his words playfully...these personal virtual stabs are what soils what is a vibrant community often filled with up to the moment news and debate about the one thing which unites us all...JUVE.

This guy is going to be a fucking star one day. Would love for us to sign him, could easily deputise for Vidal and Marchisio, not sure if he could play a Pirlo type role for us, though. He is the personification of grinta.
