If i had to sell someone, i'd sell Pogba if a ludicrous 80mil+ offer came

From that cash, i'd get Reus, Lucas and Mata and field this in front of a back 4 :

Vidal - Marchisio

Lucas - Mata - Reus

Llorente

If anyone can suggest a better 4231 without altering the 2 holding midfielders, i'm all ears.

One does not simply bench Tevez, Pogba and Pirlo.
Can you read ? He asked who would you sell Vidal or Pogba

I gave my answer in case i had to sell pogba after 2 seasons.

In that situation, Tevez's contract would have ran out and he'd be back to argentine , Pirlo wouldnt be a starter anymore, and Pogba would have been sold as was the question.

So who's left ? Marchisio and Vidal and a sick load of cash

    How can you possibly countenance the sale of one of the brighest young talents in the global game, yet in the same breath, show a formation which includes Marchisio??? Who is a player in less than great form in the latter half of last season, has been pretty similar if not even less potent this term, lost his place to Pogba and has only won it back due to Pirlo's absence...He has simply moved down the pecking order. He is capable of more than the last year, as we know from before then, but it has become crystal clear to conte even, that our strongest midfield is pirlo, vidal, pogba...and rightly so.

    Claudio can make intelligent runs, his covering is okay, his tackling not great, his heading pretty weak. I would prefer to see Asamoah given more of a chance there. if any of our midfielders should be sold, it should be claudio. And as for the madness in people, which suggests him as a future capitano!!! A natural leader of men??? No, a loyal, dependable, dignified servant to the club. Never a capitano...

    Let's say we sell Pogba for 80m..

    Lucas = 30M
    Mata = 35M
    Reus = 40m

    Where we gonna pull the rest of the money from?

    I was responding to your suggestion of selling pogba and how you would spend the money not a previous post. maybe you misunderstood...so rather than put words in bold and large font, respond with some intelligence, some debate. shouting on an internet forum is...somewhat silly eh? I am interested in why you appear to hold this fascination for aplayer who even our own manager has pretty much replaced in recent times with Pogba. So let me make this more simple...do you agree that pogba is one of the brightest young players on the global stage?? Do you agree with Conte and many others who see our midfield as stronger without marchisio??

    Sell Pogba for Bale money, use 70m to balance the books.

    You might want to ask Milan about how well this plan works, before you pull the trigger.

    I don't know about you but making our somewhat 'unbalanced' books balanced and becoming a lower mid-table club with '-1' Goal difference doesn't seem like a great trade-off to me.

    Lucas is technically more talented then neymar. (apart from finishing). But he is "less intelligent" then neymar (quite a bit actually)

    With good guidance, Lucas could be a monster

    Fact of the matter is we won't be able to afford wages for players like that anytime soon.
    Perhaps. But i'm opposed to Pogba's sale anyway

    Someone asked who would you sell. I simply explained who i'd sell and what i'd try to buy.
    YOU were the third or something that reacted on me telling i'd sell pogba, and field marchisio.

    I personally think Pogba is going to be the best central midfielder for a decade.

    I agree with conte ans so many others that marchisio is vital for out midfield. I dont know what bullshit comment you try to make, as conte himself said that many times, and many analysts praise the covering and shutteling ability of marchisio.

    Zach, would you rather sell Marchi for 20-30m or Pogba for 50-60m? Simple answer please.
    None of both.

    Also, if agnelli forces a sale of pogba for a non Bale transferfee, he'll be righteously killed

    I dont get why people even say it. What, cause we "only" made groupstage CL ? Like that is gonna matter so much. We got a solid team, if we do a mercato without buying, we'd allready cover the diffrence between groupstage and QF exit. And thats not counting euroleague

    Lucas is meh, id rather get Di Maria or Lamela.

    I was sugesting it like a must choose option but whatever. I agree on the Pogba part, but about Marchi, seriously you wont sell him for 30m? :shifty:

    No i wouldnt. a team needs a selfless worker to truely succeed at the big stage.

    Having one that is complete and tactically gifted is massive. I fully believe that when Pogba gets exponentially better, todays midfield with Marchisio covering, allowing vidal and pogba to wreck havoc to the opposing defence is going to turn them into the worlds best central midfield.

    Just like Barcelona, who needs a meriocre overrated piece of shit like Busquets just cause he suits perfectly in their midfield system rather then a good holding player.

    This would be a terrible mistake as we are overstacked of CMs of superior quality (unless we really sell Vidal in the summer or we have already decided not to keep Pirlo)
    and we have more pressing matters in the left flank, where we lack decent options. He would add nothing in the CL, beter save that money and buy quality come summer!

    I smell smth very fishy with the continous interest on this mediocre player. It has to do with his manager cutting a deal with one high ranking official of ours,
    to waste all that cash and priorise this silly transfer over others, somebody must be making a great personal profit out of this. (in expense of club money and qulity future acquisitions)
    Among Conte and Marotta, who could autorise this, Conte has a proven integrity beyond any doubt, yet Marotta has done his shady Martinez deals in the past and wouldnt be the first time that would be wasting our money...
