let's not turn this into a contest. it's not even debatable that there are much better teams in the PL then in italy. sure, small teams in serie a give their all against juve, but that's not even close to what teams england have to face week in week out against City, Chelsea, Arsenal, United, Tottenham, Everton and so on...

I'd say City are the pick of the bunch. Struck a good balance between quality and strength in depth. Theyre winning even when not in top gear. That's what wins you championships.

You guys keep forgetting we still have Marrone. Bring him back to be that 5th or 6th CM on the bench. Not expensive at all and salary quite low. We need money to spend on RW and LB instead of another CM.
Makes no sense for us or him...Finally he is is playing in his natural role week in, week out for a team in the top flight. Why do we need to spend money on a RW when we seldom play a formation with a right winger??? Or is this to give us the option to change formation?>??

serie a is probably the 2nd most competitive league. Bpl is 1st because you have liverpool,arse-anal,man-chested, man-shiettie-, chelze that could win the league. serie a has juve, inter, milan(when they get some defenders), fiorentina and roma that can challenge to win it. then there is la liga where only 3 clubs can win it and then budaslige where only 2 clubs can win it.
You seem to have forgotten our good friends in Naples...

Completely agree, baggio...Easily the strongest squad, now gathering momentum, looking capable of taking apart any team. Confidence is growing and as much as they should be winning, given the investment, its still a solid job done so far by pellegrini. It pains me to see liverpool up there, a team I hate more than any other in England, perhaps globally even. So much scum has gone through that club, so little class in recent times. Shame about United, but perhaps they will recover and get back in the top four. Martinez doing wonderfully with the toffees...i wonder if Moyes would be kept on if Everton finish above them! Maybe it could be the time to grab Rooney...

It makes as much sense for him as for Marchisio, DC and Giovinco. They're squad players and Marrone will be one too. It's better to have him than spend 16-18m on Nainggolan.

As for RW: Yes we need someone who will give Conte choice. Pepe is never fit and we don't know if he's to make it back to form he had before injury. This season we saw Conte wanted to use 433 and tried it against Madrid. If he had that RW he could use it more depending on needs. Right now he's limited to 352 which shouldn't be used in CL.
