I didn't say it was only to Balotelli, I said these fans reacted to the aftermath of the Balotelli incident. Up until that point I don't recall any instances off the top of my head, although there must have been some at least isolated incidents.

Those including and since:

Mario Balotelli (Juventus-Inter 2008-09) - €20,000 fine, one match behind closed doors
Mario Balotelli (Inter-Juventus 2008-09) - €20,000 fine
Mario Balotelli (Juventus-Catania 2009-10) - €10,000 fine
Mario Balotelli (Juventus-Napoli 2009-10) - Curva Sud closed
Mario Balotelli (Juventus-Udinese 2009-10) - €20,000 fine
Mario Balotelli & Samuelo Eto'o/Sulley Muntari (Juventus-Inter 2009-10) - €25,000 fine
Mario Balotelli (Inter-Juventus 2011-12) - €10,000 fine
Gelson Fernandes & Pablo Armero (Juventus-Udinese 2011-12) - €10,000 fine

So 7/8 instances against Balotelli. The Udinese one is more disturbing to me, as it suggests a bigger issue. Just because Armero was flopping about like a fish all game doesn't mean he should be racially abused.

In regards to Balotelli, he was even racially abused by Italy fans in one game (there is some suggestion the Romanian counterparts also took part), which is reflective of what I said in terms of the generic Italian ultra. They are the only fans who would travel to Austria for a game - locals excluded - so it's not just a problem for Juventus. Balotelli upset a lot of people, they got at him that way, they were punished.
