Quick question for all you Über-Technicalants (1 Viewer)

Ok, here's the deal.. I usually keep my PC on all night, and most of the daytime, too, and so, I'm usually logged on (but idle) to Juventuz 20 hours a day or summat like that.. Is it true that what I'm doing sucks up a lot bandwidth? :confused:



(I didn't put this in Technology, btw, because this concerns Juventuz too mainly.. ;)

    No, really, my internet connection is already way too slow, so the only way I could get anything done downloading is if I keep the computer on all night..

    No, of course not. Bandwidth is about data transferring, so long as you have the page loaded and you're not transferring anything, you could just as well be disconnected and there would be no difference.

    Hmm, yeah that's what I thought, but then I don't quite remember reading somewhere that it does do that..
