I'd probably just take the whole thing, because

1. I've got other expensive hardware inside my case
2. I don't have the screwdriver skills to carefully take out the hard drive while there's flames around me

Grey...say its an oil fire...the water will put out the walls and structure fire but the "base of the fire" would still be oil if it didn't burn itself out and not much would actually be needed to put it out.

As for the doctor..if I'm shot in the liver he could then tell me how to stop the bleeding..isolate the wound or buy some time ...

yeah but if the whole house is on fire, it usually doesn't really have a base, since the fuel of the fire would be all the stuff in your house, including the timber frame if it's gotten that deep

Ok ... well the hose puts out the walls..the fire ext. the floors and the baking soda for the those "tough" flames Anyways it was more of a precaution but some significant other who obviously never took chemistry thought it was the funniest thing she ever heard.

As for the liver the doctor's knowledge is a deep endless pool and I am confident that even with his inflated ego and exorbant bills he can buy me a few more minutes...better yet I'll call Macgyver who could tell me how to save my life and walk away clean using a few bubble gum wrappers and an old pizza box or something

:LOL: I totally get what u mean. Some of my friends who are only first year medicine students won't shut up about their doctor's jargon. In any given situation, if anyone says they've got an ache and points to the spot where it hurts, all these idiots get a glint in their eye and say in unison "metatarsal!" or some crap like that. It really bugs me :frown:

I would agree with that, but i lost all respect for MacGyver in this one episode where he was locked up in a room as always, but this time he was fortunate enough to get locked in a room that contained a jeep and a bazooka. He attached the bazooka to the jeep and drove through the wall..

your house is already on fire, instead of bringing out stuff that has a special meaning to you, you'll get some baking soda and go outside with a package of baking soda and try to do something about the fire AND (!!!) you'll look like an idiot doing it .... so picture yourself with baking soda while everything you have is burning ..... 1. my mom......she delivered me to this earth, so I should say goodbye to her when I go
2. - my girl friend's belongings.....She's gone a few years now. I still keep some of her personal belongings in a box. They're precious to me.
- my little miniature pinscher puppy....She's not too heavy to carry
- A can of beer......well..that helps cheering me up a bit.

So you don't buy my "prevention" answer well then I'll take another route.

Question 1:

I would call one of those American tabloid news type shows and alert them "I have the rarest form of illness in which I will die in minutes...get your arses over here and for the right price I'll allow you to film my final minutes..." The proceeds I make from the tv show would go to AC Milan for the acquisition of new players....

Question 2:

My house is burning...I would take my cell phone...with it I would call up my friends who work in retail stores (electronics, appliances, etc) and tell them to start "creating" bills for purchases of items I never really owned (Big screen tv, etc.) When the insurance cheque comes around I would not only get my house value back but make a large profit in return for the re-imbursement of all those supposed items that burned in my house.

You have to look at the positive side of things...
