I'm not entirely certain about the risk involved with buying a player like Quagliarella. Manchester United confessed in a media report to having had a scout watch him 4 times. To be perfectly honest, I don't know how many times you have to watch a player to remove elements of doubt about the skill, potential, possible fit with the rest of the formation/tactics etc.
However, I believe that the English club saw enough to get them excited. I admit that the club has made mistakes in the past: Taibi, Veron, Kleberson.
Nevertheless, I believe that with Bianchi moving to Napoli seen as probable, Huntelaar probably staying at Ajax for another season and Gilardino moving to nowhere and staying with Milan, the alternatives are beginning to disappear.
With Quag in the bag, the time has come for Secco to book the plane journey to Hamburg and entice RVdV back to Turin.
I'm also sure people would have been a little hesitant about Del Pie when we picked him up over a decade ago - it's only natural.
Let's be bold and bring in a world class attacking midfielder player to round things off.
