Fabio Quagliarella has undergone surgery after sustaining a fractured cheekbone in yesterday’s victory over Lecce. The operation lasted 20 minutes and was supervised by Dr. Libero Tubino at the Fornaca clinic in Turin.
The 28-year-old is set to be discharged tomorrow and has been ordered to rest for a week. On his return to action, the striker must avoid contact to the affected area for a certain period, before stepping up his workload with the use of a carbon fiber protective mask.
