Antonio Conte has selected a 19-man squad for tomorrow’s Coppa Italia quarter-final clash with Roma. Claudio Marchisio and Simone Pepe miss out after limping off in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Atalanta, while Mirko Vucinic and Eljero Elia have joined the midfield duo on the sidelines. Gigi Buffon is rested.
Vucinic has suffered an inflammatory reaction following a light knock sustained to his left knee in Bergamo and underwent tests at the Fornaca clinic this afternoon. The medical examination, carried out by Prof. Carlo Faletti, failed to show any damage to the striker’s knee joint. The Montenegrin will step up his recovery over the next few days.
Elia, meanwhile, felt a pain in his collateral knee ligament following a challenge in training.
Alexander Manninger and Fabio Quagliarella return to the fold after recovering from their respective injuries. The goalkeeper has shaken off a twisted ankle, while the striker is back following surgery on a fractured cheekbone.
The full Juventus squad to face Roma is as follows:
3 Chiellini
5 Pazienza
10 Del Piero
11 De Ceglie
