Young QPR striker Ray Jones has been killed in a car crash. The 18-year-old was involved in an accident on Friday night and was pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result, QPR's Championship match with Burnley on Saturday has been postponed and will be rearranged at a later date.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Everyone at Queens Park Rangers extends their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Ray at this sad time."
Jones was a product of Rangers' youth system and was a regular member of John Gregory's squad.
Although the England Under-19s squad member had yet to make an appearance this season, a £200,000 bid from Colchester was recently rejected, confirming Gregory's faith in him.
Jones would have been 19 on Tuesday.
Last year QPR were also hit by tragedy when youth team player Kiyan Prince was stabbed to death outside his school at the age of 15.
