Wanna hear the biggest joke of the day? Advocaat: "No, never once under my rule has this team practiced on penalty kicks. Never once. I believe you can't practice them because you can't simulate the pressure"
    They didn't even practice! :howler:

The Swedes DID practice btw - Van der Sar said he watched some footage of their training and that helped him stop that penalty

Well we'll never know now, will we? You succesfully pressed the self-destruction button.

You cant practice the pressure, but you could practice positioning surely. Some English university did a study on penalties. 85% go the the side of the players no shooting foot. Pretty good odds:D

And thats kinda cool. VDS is the man.
Question: Who was he pointing at and giving the dead stare too? :D

Never? I was thinking in 2 years time ;)

And i cant wait to see Robben next year :D

Hollands goalkeeper coach, who helped him prepare by watching the footage of the Swedes and pointing out details.

Did you know that tha was Mallbergs FIRST EVER penalty in a senior match. The last penalty he took was years ago when he was 17 or 18.

But I'm not mad at him, it takes some balls to step up and take it.

Hangon, doesn't that mean that VDS's save had nothing to do with studying footage of the Swedes taking penalties? :p

you cant be mad at any of them.

fans can be mad at beckham, italians, the french. the swedes came and fight and were unlucky to go out. nothing but respect for the team.

I agree, like I said, it takes big balls to say both yes and no.

    **** THE SWEDES..

one lucky heel shot and they got through.....

Italy's first half was better than any team's display thus far this tournament.

They should count their blessings they got through based on the Dane Goalie who suddendly forget his job was to stop the ball and not let it in.

    PLEASE ..JOG ON SON.

Yeah swedes were lucky to draw with Italy. But Sweden were jsut as good as italy were in the group games as a whole. Sweden stuffed Bulgaria, Italy almost didnt beat them.

    Unfortunate, not unlucky.
