He is god in what he does best. You are god in what you do best. I am god in what I do best.

Got the drift?

I know you are trying to joke here but I am damn serious.

I surely got your point from the first moment, and the subject (not just this topic, the idea of God and religions) never deserves to make us serious anyway.

Oh and why the hell I always start writing god with a capital letter? :faq2:

I am not really serious when it comes to the subject but to answer the question asked I was serious.

Should I stay out of this one?

Nah...

So let's start things off, It doesn't matter if a book full of fallacies anoint somebody as a prophet and then people who believe in the fallacies deny this which angers other people who believe in yet more fallacies.

That's pretty much it I guess,

Fallace :D

Just want to point out how stupid this whole notion is. The Bible is one of the most reivisionistic books in the world, it was written by people that never met, spoke or knew of 'jesus' and was compiled over a thousand years as more and more peiople added their own bits to it. I wouldnt trust that book to tell me that my mother is my mother.

Edit:

Also going to point out how often and vaige the prophesies in the bible are....very. The bible could have said 'a great leader will rise in the east'...you can make it fit anything, the guys who wrote the bible went stupid, they knew how to write something and leave it open for the morons that follow it. An example of this is some christians suggest that dinosaurs walked with jesus, his arguement for this is because in said in the bible 'behold behemoth' and that the bible predates the term dinosaur :sergio: i would love to make such generic and open prophesies and have a third of the world follow me.

I don't believe in any particular god but I also would not consider myself an atheist. Atheist seem to believe firmly that there is no god, while I am open to any possibility
I believe in the absurdity of life.
Well put
I'll leave this thread to the atheists, enjoy!
Good, no offense but this thread looked ready to become another shit show

Historically speaking: Jesus is a fictional character aggregated from manifold icons and political figures. Just as Jesus is a fictional character, so also is the bible a work of fiction. the old testament presents a continuously revisionist account of the oral heritage of the Hebrew people. The new testament presents various political satires and fictional accounts of the life of jesus based on recurring seudo-religious themes and imagery.

I should think that Islam, as a religion actually based on the teachings of a real person wouldn't be concerned with the contents of the Bible, then again, for a religion that is so strict regarding icon worship, they all have to go to Mecca and worship a meteorite, so...IDK

Either way, I mean no disrespect to anyone, and I hope that historical facts and the sum total of all human knowledge don't negatively affect your religious beliefs.

 you wonderful creature, you. :howler:

And I'm no expert, but no way do christians acknowledge anything Islam, let alone their prophet. I think Islam acknowledges Jesus as a "failed" prophet or something.
:wth:

No such thing mate. We muslims believe in Jesus as the prophet who preceded Muhamed (PBUH), we just do not share the Christians belief that he is the son of god, or that he is immortal.

I'm Muslim, I didn't watch the videos but I fully support this post.
