download a program called ad-aware (you can probably find it pretty easily, its free, it should be at www.download.com). Download that and it will remove all spyware from your system, which may very well be your problem.

right click on internet explorer, then go down to properties. clear cookies, delete temp.internet files, and clear history should all be there
